Can't wait Until Spring!

Oh Spring, will you please hurry up and get here, because I want to ride my horse without bundling up and freezing to death!
I can't wait until Spring! The horses lose their winter fur, and Addie looks gorgeous without her winter fur!

Charlie (A Tennessee Walker)

I know that this blog is supposed to be about Addie and me, but I want to post a few pictures of a horse that we had a couple of years ago. His name is Charlie, a Tennessee Walker, and he was my favorite horse!
Because of financial reasons, we had to sell him.

Trail Ride/Horse Show

Today, I went on a trail ride with Addie. She did great! She has only been on this trail a couple times, I was surprised at how well she did! She is so sweet! I have had her for a month now, and it has been a great one! She follows me everwhere when I walk in the pasture! (Sometimes it is scary because she walks not even a foot behind me, and if she got spooked she would run right over me!)
We are going to an open horse show the 18th at the Porter County fairgrounds. I am going to show her in halter (where they judge the horse's conformation), showmanship ( how well I show her), and Jr. horse western pleasure ( a junior horse is age six or younger, Addie is five.). Savannnah is showing Tigger (and let me tell you she is excited!) in leadline showmanship (showmanship only someone is on the other side of the horse leading it to), and leadline trail (rail is a class that has obstacles that the horse has to walk through, example, a bridge, logs, etc.)

Addie ( Miz Clu To You)'s Bloodlines

Believe it or not, my horse, Miz Clu To You (Addie), has World Champion bloodlines!

Her Grandsire, Kid Clu, has won numerous awards, Reserve World Champion Open, Halter Top Ten World Show and #1 Leading Halter Horse Sire! Here is a photo of him, (he was born in 1988 and died in 2001)

Moving on to her Great Grandsire. A Grand Dandy was his name, and that he was! Born in 1975, he won AQHA Champion. Superior Halter! I haven't found a photo of him, but when I do, I will post it!

Lura's Oak Bar, born, 1970, Sire of A Grand Dandy, he won World Champion Sire, Superior Halter and Performance Sire, AQHA Champion Sire, and he sold for $55,000!

Dazzle Me In Gold, Addie and her have the same grandsire! Dazzle Me In Gold won the 2005 Reserve World Champion Palomino Show! And guess who their grandsire is.......... Kid Clu, the first horse that I mentioned at the top!

And one more thing, Addie's Great, Great, Great, Great, Great, Great Grandsire was the Sire of Secretariat, one of the world's greatest racehorses! If you want more info on Secretariat, http://www.secretariat.com/ has all you can learn about this great horse, who, in 1973 won the Kentucky Derby! Also, he won the Belmont Stakes in 2:24 by 31 lengths (below right)
